Marcelo grew up in South America, moved to Seattle from Florida where He worked doing building maintenance for a management company. He began working at McBride Construction in March 1989 as a laborer/apprentice. After performing several tasks from truck driver to driving pin piles, he moved to the carpentry aspect of our trade. In 1995, he started running small to medium projects, helping to create the small jobs division of our company. For family reasons, he moved back to Florida for two years in 1999 where he worked for Lavelle Construction running several projects, and building new custom homes at Jupiter Island and West Palm Beach. He returned to McBride Construction in November 2000 and started running medium to large jobs; finally moving from being a field superintendent to a production superintendent, not only overseeing projects but also helping other superintendents manage their jobs.
Continuous education includes Construction Management classes at Edmonds Community College as well of several courses taken at Argus Pacific on asbestos, mold, confined spaces, etc.
Recipient of McBride Construction's Most Improved Employee award in 1989 and Employee of the Year award in 1994.
Married for 17 years, have two sons. Bilingual, being fluent also in Spanish.
